The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) achieved remarkable accomplishments during the 15th UGM Lustrum sports competitions. The men’s volleyball team, consisting of administrative and contract staff, secured third place after a tough semifinal match against the strong team from the Faculty of Engineering on December 5. Led by captain Suhirmawan, the team shared the third-place title with the team from UGM’s Office of Security, Safety, Emergency, and Environment (K5L).

The Faculty of Philosophy also fielded a women’s volleyball team in the competition. Despite a spirited effort, the team, captained by Sri Sutaningsih, was halted in the quarterfinals after a match against the Faculty of Economics and Business. However, Sri Sutaningsih brought pride to the faculty by winning first place in the women’s singles table tennis competition. Additionally, the Faculty of Philosophy earned second runner-up in the improver category of the line dance competition.

These achievements reflect the solidarity and teamwork of the Faculty of Philosophy’s community. Such successes are expected to inspire continued excellence and contributions across academic and non-academic fields.
