The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has made significant strides in its 2024 Target Performance Achievements (TCK) report, as presented during the Faculty Work Meeting (RKF) held on January 17-19, 2025, at Hotel Novotel Solo. Out of the 35 indicators set, several demonstrated achievements far exceeding the initial targets.

One of the notable accomplishments was the number of collaborations carried out by the study programs at all levels, which amounted to 18 partnerships, doubling the original target. This success was mirrored by the percentage of active collaborations across all study programs, which reached a perfect 100%.

Furthermore, the indicators measuring the amount of online learning content accessible to the public and the number of transdisciplinary works by faculty and students that were widely disseminated also surpassed expectations. Throughout 2024, the Faculty of Philosophy produced 47 online learning modules and 21 transdisciplinary works that were widely shared.

The Faculty also met its target for international accreditation in the undergraduate program and achieved an ‘excellent’ BAN-PT accreditation for three of its study programs. These accomplishments were made possible through the collective efforts of various stakeholders. “Thank you for your support and contributions to our international accreditation,” expressed Dr. Agus Himmawan Utomo, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs.

The Faculty of Philosophy also recorded success in indicators such as the number of faculty outputs implemented by the community, industry, or government, as well as those recognized internationally. Additionally, the indicators for multidisciplinary research outputs involving cross-faculty researchers, community service outputs applied in society, and media coverage related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) all exceeded the set targets.

However, there were still some targets that were not fully achieved, including international accreditation for postgraduate programs, the number of postgraduate students from fast-track programs, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), PMDSU, and the number of doctoral student publications in international journals.

Dr. Agus Himmawan Utomo praised the extraordinary achievements of the Faculty of Philosophy in 2024 and urged continued support from all faculty members and administrative staff to further improve academic quality and administration. “In 2025, the undergraduate curriculum must be refreshed. Additionally, student achievements, supported by faculty, must continue to be enhanced,” he concluded.
