The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed a visit from SMA Negeri 1 Cisaat, Sukabumi. On Thursday, January 30, a group of 270 students and teachers gathered in the 1st Floor Selasar Room to gain insights into the academic world, particularly in the field of philosophy. The event featured Dr. Rizal Mustansyir, M.Hum., as the main speaker, who provided a comprehensive presentation about UGM and the Faculty of Philosophy.

In the opening session, Dr. Rizal guided the students through the history and achievements of UGM, one of Indonesia’s oldest and most prestigious universities. He explained the various student admission pathways available and the academic advantages and opportunities that come with being part of UGM. In the following session, the participants were introduced to the Faculty of Philosophy at UGM, including the subjects studied and the relevance of philosophy in various aspects of life.

The visit concluded with a group photo session and the exchange of souvenirs as a symbol of appreciation and a memento from SMA Negeri 1 Cisaat to the Faculty of Philosophy UGM. This activity is expected to broaden the students’ understanding of the higher education world and encourage them to pursue further studies at a higher level.

With initiatives like this, the Faculty of Philosophy UGM remains committed to providing an open learning space for young people to develop critical and reflective thinking skills, contributing to a better future.
