The Faculty of Philosophy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held a Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate Students as part of the Undergraduate and Applied Undergraduate Graduation Period IV of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The event, hosted at the Ruang Persatuan of the Faculty of Philosophy, was attended by 30 graduates who had officially completed their studies.

In her remarks, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih, S.S., M.Hum., expressed pride and high hopes for the graduates.

“We are truly proud of the sons and daughters who today complete their studies with all the knowledge and skills they have gained. On behalf of the entire leadership, we return these young people to their parents and to society,” she said.

She also encouraged graduates to maintain strong ties with their alma mater.

“Never hesitate to stay in touch, because since the moment you entered, you have been part of one family. Wherever you go, always remember that the Faculty of Philosophy is your home. Whatever you do, always carry the good name of philosophy. We look forward to your return to contribute together for humanity,” the Dean conveyed.

Representing the graduates, Vigo Joshua Pangaribuan, who was named the best graduate, shared his gratitude and reflections on his academic journey.

“We were born from a discipline that dares to question everything, including our own fears. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey from lectures to this graduation day. May what we have learned be applied and given back to society, especially to those who do not have the privilege to study as we do,” he said.

Meanwhile, representing the graduates’ parents, Pirngadi expressed gratitude for the achievements of his daughter and her peers.

“As parents, we are very happy to see our children graduate from this esteemed university. This is not merely an academic achievement, but the fruit of hard work and support from many parties. May the knowledge they have acquired be a source of light, and may their future steps always be blessed,” he stated.
