On Friday, November 22, 2024, the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed a visit from Sekolah Pembangunan Jaya, located in South Tangerang. A group of 30 students and 2 accompanying teachers attended the event, which took place in Room 502 of the Faculty’s Theology Building on the fifth floor.
The event began at 08:00 AM and was led by Suhartanto, S.IP., M.Sc., who provided valuable insights into the importance of studying philosophy. The participants had the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with the speaker, expanding their understanding of philosophy’s role in various academic fields and everyday life.
The visit aimed to provide a deeper understanding of academic life and to broaden the students’ perspectives on the study options available at the Faculty of Philosophy. It is hoped that this visit will inspire and benefit all participants in preparing for their future steps in higher education.
