The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held its Faculty Work Meeting (RKF) at Hotel Novotel Solo from January 17–19, 2025. This event was attended by faculty members and administrative staff, with key agendas including the Inventory of Programs and Activities for 2025, the dissemination and discussion of Performance Target Achievements (TCK), and preparations for the upcoming semester.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the development of thesis, dissertation, and research guidelines, as well as the use of the Outcome-Based Assessment Information System (SIOBA) and the Evaluation and Monitoring System (SIMONI). These discussions aimed to enhance administrative efficiency and support the faculty’s accreditation process.
In her opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy UGM, Prof. Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih, S.S., M.Hum., emphasized the importance of evaluation and synergy in faculty program planning. “We will present the achievements of 2024 for collective evaluation. Let’s begin RKF by exchanging constructive criticism and suggestions,” she stated.
She also highlighted several strategic issues, including the well-being of faculty members and administrative staff, as well as the optimization of technology-based systems to improve services for both lecturers and students. “We must provide excellent service across all levels. Our programs should be interconnected and discussed collaboratively,” she added.
The Faculty of Philosophy UGM has already obtained international accreditation from FIBAA for its undergraduate program, with the master’s and doctoral programs expected to follow. The faculty’s BAN-PT accreditation will expire in April 2025, requiring the collective effort of the entire academic community to prepare for the next accreditation process. In academic development, the Dean emphasized the need for increased innovation across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs.
In terms of collaboration, the Dean stressed the importance of strengthening and initiating new partnerships with strategic partners to support the future growth of the faculty. She also announced the addition of two adjunct lecturers from professional backgrounds: Prof. Rivan (President Director of Jasa Raharja) and Sri Teddy.
Through this RKF, the Faculty of Philosophy UGM aims to enhance academic and administrative performance, improve the welfare of its educators, and expand its reach in academic innovation and collaboration for 2025.
