
The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) once again opened its doors to young generations eager to explore the academic world and philosophy. On Thursday, February 13, 2025, a total of 300 students and accompanying teachers from SMA Negeri 1 Waringin Kurung, Banten, visited the Faculty of Philosophy UGM for an inspiring discussion session held at the 1st Floor Hall.
The event featured Dr. Rizal Mustansyir, M.Hum., as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, Dr. Rizal elaborated on UGM’s rich history as one of Indonesia’s oldest and most prestigious universities and its crucial role in shaping outstanding individuals who contribute to the nation. He also highlighted UGM’s academic excellence, the various study programs it offers, and the admission pathways available for prospective students across Indonesia.
Furthermore, participants were invited to delve deeper into the world of philosophy and its relevance in the modern era. Dr. Rizal explained that the Faculty of Philosophy UGM equips its students with critical, analytical, and reflective thinking skills, which are highly valuable in various fields. Philosophy graduates have diverse career prospects, ranging from academia, research, and policy analysis to journalism and professional roles in the business and creative industries.
