On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed a visit from SMA Negeri 1 Rogojampi, Banyuwangi Regency. A total of 330 students and 20 accompanying teachers gathered at the 1st Floor Hall to gain deeper insights into the academic world, particularly at UGM and the Faculty of Philosophy. The event featured Dr. Rizal Mustansyir, M.Hum., as the keynote speaker, who delivered an inspiring presentation on UGM and the role of philosophy in various aspects of life.

In the first session, Dr. Rizal introduced the students to the history of UGM as one of Indonesia’s oldest and most prestigious universities. He highlighted UGM’s strengths, including its dynamic academic environment, comprehensive support facilities, and opportunities for students to develop at both national and international levels. He also explained the different admission pathways available for prospective students from across Indonesia.

During the second session, students were invited to explore the Faculty of Philosophy in more depth. Dr. Rizal emphasized that philosophy graduates have diverse career prospects, including academia, research, public policy, media, and the creative industries. The students enthusiastically asked questions, while the accompanying teachers also participated, expressing their hopes that this visit would inspire students to pursue higher education at UGM.

As the event concluded, a group photo session and the exchange of souvenirs took place as a symbol of appreciation and collaboration between the Faculty of Philosophy UGM and SMA Negeri 1 Rogojampi.
