A cheerful and warm atmosphere filled the Family Gathering of the Faculty of Philosophy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held on Friday, July 26, 2024. Taking place within the faculty grounds, the event was part of the 58th Anniversary celebrations and was attended by lecturers, educational staff, students, and the extended family of the Faculty of Philosophy.
Several retired lecturers and staff also joined the occasion, turning it into an intergenerational reunion that strengthened ties of friendship and togetherness among the faculty’s community. The family spirit was palpable throughout the event, which featured a variety of activities including fun competitions, communal meals, entertainment, and door prize giveaways.
Chair of the organizing committee, Abdul Rohmat Sairah, highlighted the spirit of authentic togetherness that shaped this year’s event.
“This Family Gathering carries the concept of ‘from us, for us.’ All the food and drinks served were contributions from the lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Philosophy, which we could enjoy together,” he said.
Meanwhile, Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. Hastanti Widy Nugroho, S.S., M.Hum., expressed her hope that such events would continue to inspire enthusiasm in daily work.
“Hopefully, events like this will keep our spirits high at work. And don’t forget to maintain your health,” she reminded.
The Family Gathering is an annual agenda of the Faculty of Philosophy, consistently creating a refreshing and warm atmosphere with a different concept each year. It serves as an important space to nurture relationships among the faculty community in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
