The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) conferred degrees on four new postgraduate graduates during the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The ceremony also marked UGM’s first graduation event of 2026.
The four graduates comprised candidates from both the master’s (S2) and doctoral (S3) levels. At the doctoral level, the Faculty of Philosophy awarded a degree to Setia Paulina Sinulingga. Meanwhile, at the master’s level, three graduates were conferred degrees: Felix Kris Alfian, Muhammad Satriyo Ulil Albab, and Syaifullah Aji Trianto.
The leadership of the Faculty of Philosophy expressed appreciation and pride in the graduates’ achievements, highlighting their dedication and perseverance in completing their studies. The milestone, they noted, is expected not only to mark a significant personal academic accomplishment but also to serve as a foundation for contributing to various fields of life.
In his remarks, the Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada extended congratulations to all graduates who successfully earned academic degrees at the master’s, specialist, subspecialist, and doctoral levels.
“We congratulate all graduates who have successfully attained academic degrees at the master’s, specialist, subspecialist, and doctoral levels at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Our appreciation also goes to the families and all parties who have continuously supported and accompanied them throughout their educational journey to completion,” the Rector said.
At the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, UGM conferred degrees on a total of 1,061 graduates, consisting of 825 master’s graduates, 118 specialist graduates, 14 subspecialist graduates, and 104 doctoral graduates. The average duration of study for master’s graduates was recorded at two years and two months, while doctoral graduates completed their studies in an average of four years and six months.
Concluding his remarks, the Rector urged graduates to uphold the good name of their alma mater, maintain the dignity and moral integrity of knowledge, and preserve professional integrity in every endeavor and service they undertake.
