The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) celebrates a significant academic milestone with the promotion of several lecturers, including the appointment of Prof. Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih, S.S., M.Hum. as a Professor of Philosophy of Education.

This appointment increases the number of professors at the Faculty of Philosophy UGM to four. Previously, the faculty had three professors: Prof. Dr. Lasiyo, M.A., M.M. and Prof. Drs. M. Mukhtasar, M.Hum., Ph.D. from the Department of Philosophy of Religion, as well as Prof. Dr. Armaidy Armawi, M.Si. from the Department of Eastern Philosophy. With the appointment of Prof. Siti Murtiningsih, the faculty now has its first professor in the Department of Western Philosophy. read more

On Thursday, January 30, a group of 270 students and teachers gathered in the 1st Floor Selasar Room to gain insights into the academic world, particularly in the field of philosophy. The event featured Dr. Rizal Mustansyir, M.Hum., as the main speaker, who provided a comprehensive presentation about UGM and the Faculty of Philosophy.

In the opening session, Dr. Rizal guided the students through the history and achievements of UGM, one of Indonesia’s oldest and most prestigious universities. A total of 182 students and 22 teachers from SMK Jakarta 1 visited the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) on Wednesday, January 22, to learn more about the academic world and philosophical thought. The event took place in the 3rd Floor Persatuan Room, featuring speaker Dr. M. Rodinal Khair Khasri, S.Fil., M.Phil., who provided an insightful presentation on UGM and the role of philosophy in various aspects of life.

In the first session, Dr. Rodinal explained the history of UGM as one of the oldest and largest universities in Indonesia, which has produced many national leaders. The event featured speaker Prof. Mukhtasar Syamsuddin, M.Hum., Ph.D of Arts, who delivered an engaging presentation about the history of UGM, its academic excellence, and the various student admission pathways available. Dr. Rizal Mustansyir, M.Hum., the speaker for the session, began by presenting the history of UGM as a national university with a strategic role in national development. He also highlighted various advantages of UGM, ranging from academic quality to its extensive alumni network. The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has made significant strides in its 2024 Target Performance Achievements (TCK) report, as presented during the Faculty Work Meeting (RKF) held on January 17-19, 2025, at Hotel Novotel Solo. Out of the 35 indicators set, several demonstrated achievements far exceeding the initial targets.

One of the notable accomplishments was the number of collaborations carried out by the study programs at all levels, which amounted to 18 partnerships, doubling the original target. This success was mirrored by the percentage of active collaborations across all study programs, which reached a perfect 100%. read more

The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held its Faculty Work Meeting (RKF) at Hotel Novotel Solo from January 17–19, 2025. This event was attended by faculty members and administrative staff, with key agendas including the Inventory of Programs and Activities for 2025, the dissemination and discussion of Performance Target Achievements (TCK), and preparations for the upcoming semester.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the development of thesis, dissertation, and research guidelines, as well as the use of the Outcome-Based Assessment Information System (SIOBA) and the Evaluation and Monitoring System (SIMONI). The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a workshop on filling out the Outcome-Based Assessment Information System (SIOBA) and the Information and Evaluation System (SIMONI) on Monday, January 14, 2025. The event was attended by faculty members and conducted in two sessions in the 5th-floor meeting room.

In the first session, Dr. Sonjoruri Budiani Trisakti, M.A., Head of the Undergraduate Program at the Faculty of Philosophy UGM, provided guidance on filling out SIOBA and SIMONI to ensure smooth academic activity reporting and monitoring. In her presentation, she emphasized that these systems not only facilitate data collection on faculty activities but also support the evaluation of learning outcomes. read more
