The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) remains committed to fostering a positive and experience-based learning ecosystem for students. This commitment is realized through a cooperation agreement with PT Hari Baik Kita, the owner of the Dua Kerbau brand and café, in managing Archipelago Café as an entrepreneurship laboratory within the Faculty of Philosophy UGM.

The agreement was signed on January 24, 2025, by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy UGM, Prof. Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih, S.S., M.Hum., and the Director of PT Hari Baik Kita, Krishna Taufani Wijaya. Under this collaboration, Dua Kerbau has been granted the right to manage Archipelago Café, while still involving students as part of the management team. read more

The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) once again held a graduation ceremony in celebration of the Undergraduate Graduation for the Second Period of the 2024/2025 Academic Year on Wednesday (February 26) at the Persatuan Meeting Room. In this period, the Faculty of Philosophy successfully graduated 37 students who have completed their studies.

The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held an orientation program for new Master’s and Doctoral students on Wednesday (5/2) in the Ketuhanan Meeting Room. In the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, the faculty welcomed 11 new students for the Master’s Program in Philosophy and 3 students for the Doctoral Program in Philosophy, who will commence their studies on February 17.

The Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Rr. On Thursday, January 30, a group of 270 students and teachers gathered in the 1st Floor Selasar Room to gain insights into the academic world, particularly in the field of philosophy. The event featured Dr. Rizal Mustansyir, M.Hum., as the main speaker, who provided a comprehensive presentation about UGM and the Faculty of Philosophy.

In the opening session, Dr. Rizal guided the students through the history and achievements of UGM, one of Indonesia’s oldest and most prestigious universities. He explained the various student admission pathways available and the academic advantages and opportunities that come with being part of UGM. A total of 182 students and 22 teachers from SMK Jakarta 1 visited the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) on Wednesday, January 22, to learn more about the academic world and philosophical thought. The event took place in the 3rd Floor Persatuan Room, featuring speaker Dr. M. Rodinal Khair Khasri, S.Fil., M.Phil., who provided an insightful presentation on UGM and the role of philosophy in various aspects of life.

In the first session, Dr. Rodinal explained the history of UGM as one of the oldest and largest universities in Indonesia, which has produced many national leaders. He also highlighted UGM’s strengths as an educational institution that continues to evolve, offering various outstanding programs and student admission pathways available to prospective students across Indonesia. During the event, Zainal Mustofa, S.S., the speaker, provided a comprehensive presentation about the history and advantages of UGM as one of the top universities in Indonesia. On January 14, 2025, the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a staff work meeting in the Persatuan Room, 3rd Floor. The event was attended by approximately 30 administrative staff members from various divisions, coming together to evaluate the achievements of 2024 and plan for the upcoming year.

The meeting was led by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. Hastanti Widy Nugroho, S.S., M.Hum. In her presentation, she outlined several key university policies that will guide the faculty moving forward. One of the main topics discussed was the planned revision of the performance-based incentive assessment (IBK) scheme for administrative staff. She also reviewed the faculty’s performance targets for 2024, provided guidance, and introduced the core programs that will be the focus of the faculty in 2025. read more
