Students from SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya and MAN 1 Bekasi Enthusiastically Participate in Visit to the Faculty of Philosophy UGM

The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed another academic visit from high school students on Tuesday, January 21. A total of 308 students and accompanying teachers from SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya and MAN 1 Bekasi attended the event at the 1st Floor Selasar, eager to learn more about UGM and the Faculty of Philosophy.

Dr. Rizal Mustansyir, M.Hum., the speaker for the session, began by presenting the history of UGM as a national university with a strategic role in national development. He also highlighted various advantages of UGM, ranging from academic quality to its extensive alumni network. Additionally, he discussed the university’s student admission pathways, including the national selection and independent pathways, which sparked the students’ interest. read more

Evaluation of 2024 TCK Achievements: Faculty of Philosophy Surpasses Targets in Several Indicators

The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has made significant strides in its 2024 Target Performance Achievements (TCK) report, as presented during the Faculty Work Meeting (RKF) held on January 17-19, 2025, at Hotel Novotel Solo. Out of the 35 indicators set, several demonstrated achievements far exceeding the initial targets.

One of the notable accomplishments was the number of collaborations carried out by the study programs at all levels, which amounted to 18 partnerships, doubling the original target. This success was mirrored by the percentage of active collaborations across all study programs, which reached a perfect 100%. read more

Strengthening Performance in 2025: The Faculty of Philosophy UGM Holds Faculty Work Meeting

The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held its Faculty Work Meeting (RKF) at Hotel Novotel Solo from January 17–19, 2025. This event was attended by faculty members and administrative staff, with key agendas including the Inventory of Programs and Activities for 2025, the dissemination and discussion of Performance Target Achievements (TCK), and preparations for the upcoming semester.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the development of thesis, dissertation, and research guidelines, as well as the use of the Outcome-Based Assessment Information System (SIOBA) and the Evaluation and Monitoring System (SIMONI). These discussions aimed to enhance administrative efficiency and support the faculty’s accreditation process. read more

SMA Negeri 4 Bekasi Enthusiastically Explores the Faculty of Philosophy UGM

A total of 262 students and 19 teachers from SMA Negeri 4 Bekasi visited the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) on the morning of Thursday, January 16, as part of an educational visit. Held at the Ground Floor Hall, this event aimed to introduce UGM and the Faculty of Philosophy to students preparing for higher education.

Dr. Rizal Mustansyir, M.Hum., as the keynote speaker, opened the session by presenting the history of UGM as Indonesia’s oldest national university. He highlighted UGM’s key strengths, including its commitment to the tridharma of higher education, academic reputation, and contributions to society. Workshop on SIOBA and SIMONI Data Entry at the Faculty of Philosophy UGM

The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a workshop on filling out the Outcome-Based Assessment Information System (SIOBA) and the Information and Evaluation System (SIMONI) on Monday, January 14, 2025. The event was attended by faculty members and conducted in two sessions in the 5th-floor meeting room.

In the first session, Dr. Sonjoruri Budiani Trisakti, M.A., Head of the Undergraduate Program at the Faculty of Philosophy UGM, provided guidance on filling out SIOBA and SIMONI to ensure smooth academic activity reporting and monitoring. In her presentation, she emphasized that these systems not only facilitate data collection on faculty activities but also support the evaluation of learning outcomes. read more

Faculty of Philosophy UGM Holds Staff Work Meeting to Discuss Evaluation and 2025 Work Plan

On January 14, 2025, the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a staff work meeting in the Persatuan Room, 3rd Floor. The event was attended by approximately 30 administrative staff members from various divisions, coming together to evaluate the achievements of 2024 and plan for the upcoming year.

The meeting was led by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. Hastanti Widy Nugroho, S.S., M.Hum. In her presentation, she outlined several key university policies that will guide the faculty moving forward. One of the main topics discussed was the planned revision of the performance-based incentive assessment (IBK) scheme for administrative staff. She also reviewed the faculty’s performance targets for 2024, provided guidance, and introduced the core programs that will be the focus of the faculty in 2025. read more

SMA Negeri 1 Pamarayan Serang Visits UGM’s Faculty of Philosophy

A total of 218 students and 30 accompanying teachers from SMA Negeri 1 Pamarayan, Serang Regency, Banten, visited the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) on Thursday afternoon. The event took place in the First Floor Hall of the Faculty of Philosophy, starting at 1:00 PM, with Dr. Rizal Mustansyir as the guest speaker.

The visit began with a warm welcome from the Faculty of Philosophy, followed by a brief introduction to the faculty’s vision and mission to nurture critical and reflective young minds. In his presentation, Dr. Rizal Mustansyir provided an overview of UGM’s history as Indonesia’s first national university, which has played a pivotal role in education and nation-building. The visit was attended by 249 students and 18 accompanying teachers, all eager to learn more about UGM and the Faculty of Philosophy.

The event began at 9:00 AM with a brief opening by the moderator, followed by an insightful presentation by Dr. Rizal Mustansyir. He provided a comprehensive overview of UGM’s history as the first university established by the Indonesian government, its excellence as a leading educational institution, and various student admission pathways. read more

Public Lecture Concludes World Logic Day at the Faculty of Philosophy, UGM

In celebration of World Logic Day, the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a public lecture titled “Why Logic Matters”. The event featured Dr. Sara L. Uckerman from Durham University, United Kingdom, as the keynote speaker. It marked the culmination of a series of lectures, following two earlier sessions on January 6, which covered the topics “History of Logic” and “Fiction Writing as Philosophical Methodology”.

The series drew significant attention from students and participants representing various institutions, including UGM, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, and others. In addition to in-person attendance, the event was broadcast live via the official YouTube channel of the Faculty of Philosophy, enabling a wider audience to engage in discussions about logic and its multifaceted applications. read more
