The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held its second Integrated Development Post for Non-Communicable Diseases (Posbindu PTM) on February 13, 2026. The event followed its inaugural implementation at the end of 2025 and forms part of an ongoing effort to enhance health awareness and monitoring among the academic community.

A total of 87 participants took part in the program, marking an increase from the previous session. Participants represented a broad cross-section of the faculty, including lecturers, administrative staff, students, outsourced workers, daily staff, and canteen personnel. The Faculty of Philosophy of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held its first Integrated Health Post for Non-Communicable Diseases (Posbindu PTM) on 14 November 2025. This initiative marked an important milestone in the faculty’s efforts to strengthen its commitment to the health and well-being of the entire academic community.

The Posbindu PTM at the Faculty of Philosophy is the result of the faculty’s long-term commitment to fostering a healthy campus environment. Since the previous year, the Faculty of Philosophy has established a Health Promoting University (HPU) framework with seven active working groups, making it the only faculty at UGM outside the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK) to have a fully structured HPU system. This model reflects the faculty’s seriousness in cultivating a culture of healthy living within the academic environment. read more

On January 14, 2025, the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a staff work meeting in the Persatuan Room, 3rd Floor. The event was attended by approximately 30 administrative staff members from various divisions, coming together to evaluate the achievements of 2024 and plan for the upcoming year.

The meeting was led by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. Hastanti Widy Nugroho, S.S., M.Hum. In her presentation, she outlined several key university policies that will guide the faculty moving forward. One of the main topics discussed was the planned revision of the performance-based incentive assessment (IBK) scheme for administrative staff. She also reviewed the faculty’s performance targets for 2024, provided guidance, and introduced the core programs that will be the focus of the faculty in 2025. read more

The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada launched a free breakfast program for students during the Mid-Semester Exams (UTS). This initiative, which ran from September 30 to October 11, 2024, aimed to support students’ well-being and concentration during their exams.

The free breakfast, consisting of packed rice (nasi bungkus), was served at the angkringan located along the Faculty’s corridor. The meals were available daily from morning to noon, with the goal of providing students with an energy boost before or after their exams. The menu offered a variety of simple yet practical options, in line with the traditional and popular food culture of Yogyakarta. read more

In line with its commitment to enhancing the health and well-being of its academic community, the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has established the Health Promoting University (HPU) Work Team, as stated in the Dean’s Decree No. 48/UN1.FFI/KPT/SDM/2024. The team is led by the Head of the Faculty Administration Office, Zainal Mustofa, S.S., with Shoim Mardiyah, S.Fil., M.Sc. serving as the Coordinator for Training, Facilities, and Infrastructure.

As an initial step in formulating the action plan for the newly formed HPU team, the Faculty of Philosophy organized a Workshop on Developing the HPU Work Plan on Tuesday, September 17, at the Faculty’s Union Meeting Room. The workshop featured two expert speakers: Prof. Dra. Yayi Suryo Prabandari, M.Si., Ph.D., and Dr. Supriyati, S.Sos., M.Kes., both of whom serve as the Chair and Secretary of the UGM HPU, respectively. The Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) demonstrated its commitment to environmental sustainability during the new student orientation event, Pionir Dialektika, held from July 31 to August 1, 2024, by implementing a policy to reduce the use of single-use food packaging.

During the two-day Pionir Dialektika event, the faculty provided food in reusable containers, reducing plastic waste. New students were also required to bring their own water bottles and eating utensils.

“This policy not only aims to reduce plastic waste but also teaches new students from the start about the importance of environmental awareness and adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle,” said Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih, S.S., M.Hum., Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy. read more

A variety of activities have been planned to commemorate the 57th Anniversary of the Faculty of Philosophy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, with the main celebration scheduled for August. Among these activities is a series of sports competitions involving faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
