During the event, Dr. Heri Santoso, M.Hum., a lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy UGM, gave a presentation about the advantages of UGM, as well as detailed information about the Faculty of Philosophy. This included the programs offered and the faculty’s contributions to both the academic and social spheres. On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the Faculty of Philosophy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed a visit from the Aqidah Philosophy Department of the Faculty of Ushuluddin at Universitas Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor. Twelve students from various countries participated in a two-week study program at the Faculty of Philosophy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through the School of International Training (SIT) Study Abroad program. Held from October 7 to 17, 2024, the program carried the theme “Arts, Religion, and Social Change,” guiding students to explore the arts and religions that shape the socio-cultural discourse in Indonesia.

The program was carried out in Tawangsari Village, Purbalingga Regency, Central Java, on July 18, under the title “Synergy Between the Community and the Faculty of Philosophy UGM in Strengthening Religiosity Based on Local Wisdom in Tawangsari Village, Purbalingga, Central Java.”

“People of Tawangsari possess strong religious character.
